Samsung Electronics Membership Introduces New 'Star' Tier and Expands Customer Benefits
A Samsung Electronics model is introducing the newly revamped Samsung Electronics Membership service at the Samsung Digital Plaza Gangnam Main Store.

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Samsung Electronics announced on the 19th that it will launch a new ‘Samsung Electronics Membership’ program with enhanced customer benefits.
Since its introduction in 2009, Samsung Electronics Membership has been a customer care program with about 28 million members, offering benefits such as points based on product purchase amounts, extended free service periods, and on-site inspection services.
First, Samsung Electronics established a new 'Star' tier through this membership revamp. Approximately 700,000 customers who spent more than 3 million KRW over two years or made three or more purchases were upgraded from general members to the Star tier. As a result, Samsung Electronics Membership now operates with four tiers: Royal Blue, Prestige, Star, and General. The Royal Blue tier targets customers who spent more than 15 million KRW over two years, and the Prestige tier targets those who spent more than 8 million KRW over two years.
In addition, Samsung Electronics added the ‘Blue Package’ service, which offers various partnership benefits tailored to customers’ lifestyles, including sports, culture, leisure activities, and various content. Depending on their membership tier, customers can enjoy free or discounted admission to home games of Samsung Lions and Suwon Samsung Bluewings, free access to the premium knowledge content ‘SERI CEO,’ and free or discounted admission to the Leeum and Hoam Art Museums.
Samsung Electronics also explained that it provides benefits to prospective newlyweds preparing for their wedding. Membership customers registered as wedding customers at Samsung Digital Plaza who purchase home appliances worth more than 5 million KRW can receive an extended free service period of up to three years for nine items, including TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, as well as dryers, Air Dressers, air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, and electric ranges.
Furthermore, to celebrate the membership revamp, Samsung Electronics will hold a ‘Sparkling Membership Party’ quiz event for membership customers until the 17th of next month.
