The event, hosted by the Jangheung Cultural Workshop, was attended by about 100 people, including the six grandmothers who were the main figures of the celebration, their families totaling over 50 members, various social organizations, and residents of the myeon.
From the morning, the Masiljang was bustling with people eager to receive the poetry collection signed by the grandmothers.
The opening ceremony featured unique programs such as various congratulatory performances, poetry recitations by the grandmothers, and conversations with them.
Jangheung County Governor Jeong Jong-sun said, "Through the process of writing poetry and drawing pictures for the first time in their lives, the value of the grandmothers' lives, which were ordinary yet great, has been reexamined," adding, "I sincerely congratulate them on compiling their wisdom and life experiences into a poetry collection."

Yongsan-myeon Chief Lee Young-seok stated, "A poetry collection that can soothe hearts tired from COVID-19 has been published," and expressed hope that "many people will heal their emotional wounds through the comforting messages conveyed by the grandmothers."
