La Bella Opera Company Wins Grand Prize in Culture Category at the 2020 National Brand Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] La Bella Opera Company announced on the 15th that it received the Grand Prize in the Culture category at the '2020 National Brand Awards.' La Bella Opera Company also won the Grand Prize in the Culture category at the 2018 National Brand Awards.
La Bella Opera Company received the Grand Prize in the Culture category for the work 'Black Recorder,' composed by Na Sil-in and scripted by Yoon Mi-hyun. 'Black Recorder' was recognized for using Korean popular cultural themes to bring the audience closer and for contributing to the global expansion of the excellence of Korean original opera.
'Black Recorder' was selected for the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service's mid- to long-term creative support project for performing arts and is scheduled to be performed on a more splendid and grand scale at the Opera Theater of the Seoul Arts Center from July 10 to 12.
La Bella Opera Company is a private opera company founded on May 1, 2007, with the motto of "performances that move the heart."

Lee Kang-ho, director of La Bella Opera Company, shared his thoughts, saying, "By introducing an opera season system, we will deliver more emotions through the original opera 'Crow,' the kids' opera 'Pupu Island,' the original opera 'Black Recorder,' and the grand opera 'Ernani.'"
