Gangdong-gu Strengthens Job Opportunities for Career-Interrupted Women
Improving Entry Barriers for Small and Medium Hospitals to Encourage Re-Entry of Idle Nursing Workforce into the Labor Market... Recruiting 25 Trainees by June 5, Open to Anyone Seeking Jobs in the Hospital Sector
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) is conducting the "Career Interrupted Women Employment-Linked Small and Medium Hospital Job Creation Ecosystem Project" as part of the 2020 Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project.
The project is managed by the "Gangdong Women's Workforce Development Center."
Currently, with the advent of an aging society and the increase in chronic diseases, the demand for nursing continues to rise, but the requirements for nursing services are becoming more diverse.
Accordingly, the project aims to improve the high entry barriers in the health and medical industry sector and reactivate the labor market by enabling idle nursing personnel to re-enter the workforce.
The district aims to establish governance with related organizations, associations, and groups related to small and medium hospitals and clinics to create a solid job foundation.
Last year, through the "Customized Workforce Training Course for Dental Clinics," various jobs tailored to the district's characteristics were created through customized education such as hospital administrative work, medical services, marketing, and basic office skills. In fact, 12 out of 15 graduates found employment.
This year, the plan is to go further by establishing governance for job creation in small and medium hospitals and clinics, discovering employers, and utilizing it as a long-term employment linkage method.
To this end, the "Gangdong Women's Workforce Development Center" is recruiting 25 trainees until June 5.
The training will be conducted in three sessions, focusing on highly job-related education such as employment strategy training, customer service related to interpersonal relationships and communication, document screening preparation and interview strengthening, and job-customized special lectures.
