It is the first in the non-life insurance industry to cover the latest cancer treatment method called 'Targeted Anticancer Drug Approval Treatment Cost.' Targeted anticancer drug treatment is a chemotherapy that targets specific molecules of cancer cells to inhibit the growth and spread of cancer, minimizing the side effects of chemotherapy.
It also newly established coverage for 'Thyroid and Prostate Needle Biopsy Pathology Diagnosis Fees,' which cover the costs of tests for disease diagnosis. This applies to cases where suspicious findings are observed in radiological examinations of the thyroid and prostate, involving a test that inserts a thin needle (about 0.8mm) into the body to obtain tissue samples.
It also covers re-diagnosis cancer diagnosis fees for cancers including thyroid cancer, other skin cancers, and prostate cancer (primary cancer, metastatic cancer, recurrent cancer, residual cancer).
Equipped with a 'Pay-Back Exemption' function, it allows customers to receive a refund not only for the exemption of insurance premiums due to exemption reasons occurring during the coverage period but also for the premiums previously paid, depending on customer choice.
