CGV "Disaster Relief Funds Cannot Be Used for Online Movie Reservations"
CGV explained on the 14th the specific methods to use government disaster relief funds at movie theaters. Only credit cards and debit cards registered with the disaster relief funds can be used at the theaters. Tickets, concession stand items, and rental store products can be purchased on-site. CGV stated, "Some local governments also allow the use of local love gift certificates and prepaid cards," and added, "We plan to provide information on availability through on-site notices at the theaters." The funds cannot be used for online reservations or purchasing movie tickets. Usage is also restricted when watching movies outside of one's place of residence. For example, residents of Gyeonggi-do cannot use government disaster relief funds to pay for tickets or concession items at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul.
