[Photo] Yongsan-gu Operates Screening Clinic at Hannam-dong Public Parking Lot
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seongjanghyun) started operating a screening clinic at Hannam-dong Public Parking Lot (224-19 Itaewon-ro) on the 13th.
This measure was taken in response to the spread of COVID-19 infections around the Itaewon entertainment district.
Using a walking-through method to minimize face-to-face contact between patients and medical staff, the operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. About 10 people work in shifts of 3 to 4 hours each, similar to the public health center screening clinics.
District Mayor Seongjanghyun said, "Although the district public health center screening clinic operates 24 hours, it cannot handle the overwhelming crowds. We ask residents in the Hannam-dong area to use the public parking lot screening clinic."
