Ministry of Gender Equality and Police Agency Promote Installation of Security Facilities for Single Female Households
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Security facilities targeting single-woman households will be installed.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the National Police Agency announced on the 13th that they will jointly promote the "Single-Woman Household Crime Prevention Infrastructure Construction Project" in women-friendly cities starting this year.
A total of four regions were selected for support: Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do; Nam-gu, Busan Metropolitan City; Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City; and Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do. In the future, security facilities with excellent intrusion defense performance, such as security windows, will be installed in single-woman households in these areas through the local police stations.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the National Police Agency plan to use this project as an opportunity to prevent crime in the regions, strengthen cooperation to create an environment where women can live safely, and expand the infrastructure construction project.
