Gwangju City, Interest Support for University Students' Tuition Loans in the First Semester of 2020
Applications Accepted Until June 15... For University Students and Graduate Students Located in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 12th that it will support student loan interest for the first semester of 2020 to alleviate the educational expenses burden caused by student loans for local university and graduate students.
The support target is students or leave-of-absence students enrolled in universities (graduate schools) located in Gwangju with resident registration in Gwangju as of the announcement date (May 1), and it supports six months of accrued interest on student loans taken from the Korea Student Aid Foundation between the first semester of 2017 and the first semester of 2020 (interest accrued from January to June 2020).
Applications for interest support can be made online on the city’s website until the 15th of next month, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the Youth and Adolescents Division of Gwangju City.
