On the 11th, Mayor Moon presided over a policy meeting at the district office's planning situation room and urged, "We must gather the district's capabilities to overcome COVID-19 with the awareness that issues directly related to the safety of the people's lives take precedence over any other values."
He especially instructed district office employees, "Since a single COVID-19 infection can affect the entire district office and lead to disruptions in public services, please be patient and thoroughly manage yourselves."
He also emphasized the importance of daily life quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19, directing, "At public facilities frequently used by residents, including Ansan Jarak-gil and Yeonhui Forest Rest Area, actively guide people to wear masks as a mandatory requirement to use Seodaemun-gu’s facilities."
Furthermore, he instructed the relevant departments to "send an official letter to the French Embassy in Korea located in the region, requesting that the embassy properly inform its nationals in Korea about COVID-19 prevention guidelines."

Mayor Moon Seok-jin stated, "While students' right to learn is important, given the unexpected variable of the nationwide spread of infections from the Itaewon clubs, we should not rush school openings to avoid losing much by trying to gain little."
