Korean AI Pulmonary Disease Analysis System to Expand into Kuwait
JLKE, Export Contract for Analysis Solution 'Handmade'
Plans to Expand into Remote Medical Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Domestic AI analysis solution developer JLKE is exporting its AI-based portable lung disease analysis system 'HandMed' to Kuwait.
JLKE announced on the 12th that it has signed a supply contract for 'HandMed' with Kuwait's IT solution specialist company 'Bright Gulf'.
HandMed is a product that combines the AI analysis solution 'JViewerX', which analyzes chest X-ray images using AI for lung disease diagnosis, with portable X-ray equipment. According to JLKE, it features advanced AI analysis technology as well as excellent portability, and has been supplied to major healthcare projects in developing countries, such as the tuberculosis diagnosis project in Laos promoted by the Clinton Foundation in the United States.
Through this, JLKE has become the first domestic AI medical analysis solution provider to enter the Middle East market. Having secured the world's largest number (37) of AI medical analysis solutions, the company plans to use this successful export to Kuwait as a stepping stone to actively pioneer the Middle Eastern market.
Considering the growth of the overseas non-face-to-face medical market due to the impact of COVID-19, JLKE is also considering entering the Middle Eastern telemedicine market. The plan is to link the exported HandMed with JLKE's future telemedicine system to enable remote medical consultations.
