[Announcement+] Me2on Q1 Operating Profit 10.5 Billion KRW... 29% Increase YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Me2on (CEO Son Changwook) announced on the 12th through its preliminary earnings report that it recorded consolidated sales of 31.9 billion KRW, operating profit of 10.5 billion KRW, and net profit of 6.7 billion KRW for the first quarter of this year. These figures represent increases of 30.1%, 29.4%, and 17.3% respectively compared to the same period last year.
Me2on recorded sales growth in both its social casino games and casual games businesses. Sales of the social casino games ‘Full House Casino’ and ‘Full Pot Hold'em’ grew by 9.8% and 78.1% respectively compared to the same period last year.
In particular, ‘Full House Casino’ has steadily grown since its launch in February 2015, achieving its highest quarterly sales driven by the 5th anniversary event, new content updates, and the impact of COVID-19 in the Asian region.
Additionally, the casual game ‘Tripix Journey’ has maintained solid growth mainly in the North American and European markets since its launch in October 2018.

Choi Wonseok, Me2on’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), stated, “As COVID-19 spreads globally, including in North America and Europe, users are spending more time indoors, leading to increased game usage time. We will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of our social casino and casual game businesses after the second quarter to sustain performance growth.”
