CJ CheilJedang "COVID-19 Case Confirmed at Busan Factory... Facility Closed"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 12th that it confirmed an employee (27, office worker) at its Busan plant tested positive for COVID-19 and subsequently closed the relevant office space and facilities.
The employee visited an Itaewon club on the 2nd and attended the office from the 6th to the 8th while asymptomatic. After receiving notification from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency that they were subject to active monitoring, the employee did not go to work on the 11th and informed the company of the situation.
Accordingly, CJ CheilJedang arranged for the employee to undergo a COVID-19 test, and the employee received a positive result that evening.
Immediately after the positive diagnosis, CJ CheilJedang closed not only the main office building where the employee worked but also other facilities with overlapping movement paths and is conducting disinfection operations.
Additionally, all employees in the same department and close contacts are undergoing self-quarantine and testing.
