SK Broadband Launches 'ZEM Kids' Service on Btv Cable
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] SK Broadband announced on the 12th that it has launched the core B tv kids service, ZEM Kids, on ‘B tv Cable’ and is stepping up efforts to strengthen its competitiveness in cable TV.
‘B tv ZEM Kids’ is a dedicated kids service that provides a variety of content to help children from infants to elementary school students learn on their own. Now, ‘B tv Cable’ customers can also use ‘ZEM Kids’ for free. The service menu includes ▲Read-Aloud Fairy Tales ▲Nuri Classroom ▲Elementary Learning ▲English School ▲Parent Classroom, offering about 4,000 core learning contents of ‘ZEM Kids’, organized so that children can conveniently access content according to their age and preferences.
‘Read-Aloud Fairy Tales’ for infants up to 3 years old is a service where professional narrators read about 350 fairy tales. Bestsellers such as Aram Publishing’s ‘Motnani Dinosaur Egg’ and Little Baby Picture Book’s ‘Our Family’ were carefully selected. It helps children with short attention spans understand fairy tales immersively through audio. ‘Nuri Classroom’ for children aged 4 to 7 provides the industry-exclusive ‘Nuri Play’ content from PDM, the number one company in early childhood multimedia teaching and learning.
PDM is an early childhood education specialist company spun off from Icecream Media, well known for ‘Icecream’, used by 95% of elementary school teachers, and the elementary smart learning program ‘Icecream Home Run’. Children can experience high-quality educational content using cartoons and children’s songs based on monthly Nuri themes, and can connect the Nuri curriculum learned at daycare centers and kindergartens with home learning, enhancing educational effectiveness.
In ‘Elementary Learning’, content for all grades and subjects of elementary school is available, notably offering the EBS flagship elementary textbook series ‘Manjeomwang’, which supports self-directed learning for elementary students, exclusively in the industry. ‘English School’ classifies high-quality English content by learning level and brand to provide a foreign language learning environment suited to the child’s level. It features educational content incorporating the expertise of ‘Yoon’s English’, Korea’s top English education institution, as well as content aligned with the U.S. public education curriculum, offering systematic and professional English content. ‘Parent Classroom’ provides content that explains, in an easy-to-understand way, everything from questions about child growth to how to handle emergencies, presented by domestic medical staff and child psychology experts.
