Jeonnam Hampyeong Fire Station, Scholarship Awarded to Children of Volunteer Firefighters
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Hampyeong Fire Station (Chief Im Donghyun) announced on the 11th that it selected 15 university students who are children of volunteer firefighters and awarded them scholarships.
This initiative was promoted to boost the pride and morale of volunteer firefighters who have faithfully served as local safety guardians at various disaster sites.
The selection of scholarship recipients among the children was made through a review committee, choosing those whose parents have served as volunteer firefighters for more than three years, devoted themselves to various disaster response duties, and whose children have good conduct and excellent academic performance.
The scholarship amount is 1 million won, paid in two installments of 500,000 won each in the first and second halves of the year.
