Baek Gun-si, Mayor of Yongin, Sends 'Congratulatory Cards' to 12,631 New Adults This Year
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Mayor Baek Gun-gi of Yongin sent congratulatory cards on the 11th to 12,631 young adults who are turning 20 this year ahead of Coming-of-Age Day (May 18).
In the congratulatory card, Mayor Baek wrote, "May every step you take as a confident young adult be accompanied by a path of flowers, and may you have a more brilliant twentieth year than any other." He also created a photo frame with encouraging phrases that can be used on social networking services (SNS) and other platforms.
Mayor Baek said, "I wanted to encourage young adults taking their first steps into society during these difficult times due to COVID-19, so I sent the cards," adding, "I hope that becoming an adult will be an opportunity for youths to reflect on its meaning and responsibilities."
