One Injured by Object Thrown by Protesters During Eviction Execution in Bangbae 5 District Reconstruction
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] During the forced eviction process at the Bangbae 5 District reconstruction site, a reconstruction complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul, one person was injured as some protesters strongly resisted.
According to the Bangbae Police Station in Seoul, at around 5:30 a.m. on the 11th, a protester at the Bangbae 5 District reconstruction site resisted the eviction and threw objects from the building, injuring one court enforcement officer.
The injured person was hit by broken glass shards but is reported to be in no life-threatening condition.
The protester is said to belong to the Tenant Countermeasures Committee and resisted by throwing stones and flowerpots from the rooftop and spraying fire extinguishers.

A police official stated, "Since then, the eviction has proceeded without major clashes," adding, "We are monitoring the situation and preparing to prevent any further conflicts between the demolition personnel and protesters."
