'Pet Dog Attacks Elderly Person in Their 80s' Kim Min-kyo Shares "Currently Supporting Grandmother's Treatment" Statement
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Actor Kim Min-kyo has expressed his position regarding the incident in which his two large dogs jumped over a fence and attacked an elderly person in their 80s.
According to the Korea Times on the 10th, Kim Min-kyo said, "The grandmother next door who was involved in the accident is currently receiving treatment," and added, "We usually had a good relationship with the neighbors. I am also supporting her treatment."
Additionally, Kim Min-kyo announced through an official statement that he plans to share detailed circumstances of the incident and his feelings about it.
Earlier, on the 4th, in a garden in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, an elderly person in their 80s was attacked by two large dogs from a neighboring house. The elderly person sustained serious injuries to the thighs and both arms but is currently recovering.
Local residents testified that the two large dogs impulsively jumped over the fence at that time. Since the dogs were inside the fence, they were not wearing muzzles or leashes separately.
After the report, Kim Min-kyo was identified as the owner of the dogs. He faced misunderstandings that he was avoiding responsibility by switching his SNS accounts to private without making any significant statements afterward.
However, it has now been revealed that Kim Min-kyo is supporting the grandmother’s treatment.
Meanwhile, Kim Min-kyo appeared on Channel A's "Men Who Feed Dogs 2" in 2017 with his three pet dogs.
