Korea Federation of SMEs Holds Briefing on COVID-19 Workforce Management Support System
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon]The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 10th that it will hold an explanatory session on workforce management support systems related to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the 14th at the 1st Conference Room of the Federation of SMEs in Yeouido, Seoul.
At the session, various workforce management support systems operated by the government to minimize damage to SMEs and stabilize employment due to COVID-19 will be introduced, including the Employment Retention Subsidy system, the Unpaid Leave Rapid Support Program, and the Flexible Work System Indirect Labor Cost Support system.
Lee Taehee, Head of the Smart Job Division at the Federation of SMEs, said, “Although various government support systems such as wage subsidies are being operated to stabilize employment for SMEs struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, many SMEs on the ground are unaware of these and thus unable to utilize them. Starting with this explanatory session, we will strengthen the promotion of support systems through continuous cooperation with the government.”

The session is open to any interested SMEs, and applications and inquiries can be made to the Workforce Policy Office of the Federation of SMEs. For SMEs unable to attend in person, the session will be streamed live online on the Federation of SMEs website.
