China expresses desire for continued development of bilateral relations in letter from Kim Jong-un
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The Chinese government stated that it wishes for the continuous development of bilateral relations in connection with North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un sending an oral letter regarding the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Hua Chunying, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on the 8th, "China and North Korea are good neighbors sharing mountains and rivers, maintaining close communication in the fight against the epidemic," and added, "China hopes to continue strengthening communication and cooperation with North Korea to respond to the epidemic and to continuously develop bilateral relations through joint efforts."
