Through this agreement, both organizations will strive to implement 10 action items including ▲compliance with garbage disposal times ▲placing recyclables and volume-based waste bags in front of stores ▲sweeping in front of one’s home or store for 10 minutes daily ▲placing one flower pot per business ▲creating alley gardens in Dongridan-gil ▲participating in the ZERO movement to avoid using disposable products, among others.
In addition, the district plans to form a ‘Our Village Keeper Village Environment Volunteer Group’ with resident participation in each of the 13 neighborhoods to implement a cleaning responsibility system targeting habitual illegal dumping areas and carry out various activities to establish a proper disposal culture early.
Dong-gu intends to continue relay agreements with 50 institutions and organizations within the district, including schools, financial institutions, cooperatives, self-governing organizations, and village communities, until the end of this year to create a garbage-free district by eradicating illegal dumping.
