Facebook to Reopen Offices in July... Remote Work Allowed Until Year-End
[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] Facebook will resume office operations starting July 6 and allow most employees to work from home or remotely until the end of this year.
Economic media CNBC reported on the 7th (local time) that Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, will officially announce this plan. A Facebook spokesperson explained, "We will allow most employees to work from home until the end of 2020," adding, "Discussions are ongoing about which employees need to come to the office."
Facebook will reopen most of its offices starting July 6. Local media interpreted this as a response to the U.S. government's phased plan to partially resume economic activities that were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
