Gwangju Bank Joins the 'Good Prepayment Campaign'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 4th that it will participate in the ‘Good Prepayment National Campaign’ to help small business owners and self-employed people struggling due to ‘COVID-19’.
The ‘Good Prepayment National Campaign’ is a good consumer movement organized by the government from the 27th of last month to the 26th of this month, where people prepay at frequently used restaurants, local neighborhood stores, cafes, etc., and promise to revisit, helping small business owners and self-employed people who are facing difficulties due to ‘COVID-19’.
Gwangju Bank is actively participating in this campaign and, to overcome the difficulties of local small business owners together, all employees have united their intentions to prepay a total of 210 million KRW for meals and purchase of supplies at stores near the head office and nationwide branches. Within just three days of implementation, it recorded sales of 32.4 million KRW, playing a significant role in increasing sales for small business owners.
Additionally, the bank is encouraging active participation of employees by holding its own event, providing special benefits such as Onnuri gift certificates through a lottery among individual employees and branch offices who completed prepayment.
On Gwangju Bank’s Instagram account, an event is being held where followers who leave supportive messages on posts encouraging participation in the ‘Good Prepayment National Campaign’ are entered into a draw to receive gifticons, thereby generating interest in the campaign.
