Korea Non-Life Insurance Association Holds 'My Own Book' Presentation Ceremony for Children's Day
Support of 4,140 Books for 828 Vulnerable Children in Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] The General Insurance Association announced on the 4th that it sponsored personalized books worth 50 million won in collaboration with the financial sector's joint New Hope Healing Fund to support children from vulnerable groups.
This sponsorship was prepared to help children facing difficulties amid the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), which has led to school delays and the closure of social welfare facilities.
The event was conducted by receiving recommendations for 828 children in blind spots of welfare within the local community through the Child Rights Protection Agency (Dream Start). Especially in celebration of Children's Day, 'personalized books' were selected based on an analysis of each child's characteristics such as future aspirations and areas of interest to provide a special gift to the children.
