'Emergency Disaster Relief Fund' Alert Text, Do Not Click... Beware of Smishing
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has urged users to be cautious to prevent damage caused by smishing (text message hacking scams) impersonating emergency disaster relief funds.
As procedures related to the emergency disaster relief funds begin on the 4th, the government, local governments, and card companies will send notification messages; however, they announced that these official messages will not contain internet address (URL) links.
