KOTRA Supports 'Edutech' Exports... Establishes Online Product Hall for Education and Technology Integration
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] KOTRA announced on the 3rd that it will hold an online consultation meeting by gathering Edutech companies. KOTRA has established an online product hall that combines education and technology on the digital trade platform 'BuyKorea'.
In the education sector, 92 small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies from Korea presented about 200 products and services utilizing information and communication technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), software, and big data.
As Edutech is expected to become the core of the changed educational environment in the post-COVID-19 era, Edutech companies are putting effort into their business, but it is not easy to meet overseas buyers. Since March, KOTRA has actively reflected the requests of promising domestic Edutech companies and jointly attracted global trade offices and buyers.
About 90 online consultations were prepared for this meeting. Buyers mainly from China, ASEAN, and the South Asia region participated. A buyer from the Silicon Valley area in the United States showed interest, saying, "The marketability of Korean Edutech company products is high."
