Over 1,100 Participants in Gyeonggi-do's Online Education for 'Out-of-School Youth'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] It has been revealed that more than 1,100 people participated in the non-face-to-face online educational content operated for out-of-school youth since the 13th of last month, in response to the spread of the 'Novel Coronavirus Infection' (COVID-19) in Gyeonggi-do.
Gyeonggi-do provides services such as solving past exam questions for each subject for the May qualification exam, career exploration, self-reliance skills training, and mental health counseling for out-of-school youth.
In addition, to enable youth to engage in cultural activities at home, support is provided online through programs such as 'online PT class tickets (with delivery of small tools)' and 'book delivery,' which rents books from institutions.
The province especially offers incentives of up to 30,000 KRW per month as meal and transportation allowances to youth who participate in the online educational content more than eight times a month.
