"From Agricultural and Marine Products to Carnations"... Gyeonggi-do Expands Drive-Thru Market
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The 'Triple-win' drive-thru market, where you can support local farms with disaster basic income, enjoy outings, and purchase various excellent products at affordable prices, will be held across Gyeonggi Province from May to June.
According to Gyeonggi Province on the 2nd, the province will expand the drive-thru market product sales events by region and product in cooperation with residents.
Looking at the detailed schedule, agricultural and livestock products will be sold at events held at ▲Suwon Sports Complex on May 2 ▲Uijeongbu Gyeonggi Provincial Government Northern Office on May 9 ▲Paju Imjingak Parking Lot on May 16.
At the event on the 2nd, 200 boxes of eco-friendly package boxes, shiitake mushrooms, water parsley sets, pork, and a total of 11 items will be sold at prices discounted by 23% to 50% compared to market prices.
At the event on the 9th, ▲200 eco-friendly packages ▲200 bags of Gyeonggi rice ▲1,000 sets of 5 types of mixed grains ▲300 packages of potatoes and onions ▲200 boxes of pears ▲200 eggs ▲300 Korean beef items will be sold. Seafood items include 200 Daebu seaweed and 200 carnations among flowers.
On the 16th, from 1 PM to 5 PM, eco-friendly packages, Gyeonggi rice (Paju rice), tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, other livestock products, and flowers will be sold.
In Goyang, a 'Drive-thru Flower Market' will be held to support flower farms. The event will take place five times on the 2nd and 3rd, and the 9th and 10th, from 10 AM to 1 PM at Ilsan Lake Park 3rd Parking Lot.
Items for sale include carnation baskets, succulent sets, and a total of 16 items. Twenty units of each item will be sold per event, totaling 320 units.
Seafood sales events will also be held every Friday from 1 PM to 5 PM until next month at Ansan Daebu Marine Headquarters, Hwaseong Gungpyeong Port, and Gimpo Daemyeong Port entrance. Ansan will sell seaweed, Hwaseong will offer dried seaweed, dried anchovies, dried shrimp, and other dried seafood packages, and Gimpo will sell seaweed, kelp, and salted shrimp. The schedule and items may change.
Payments can be made by cash and card, and local currency through disaster basic income can also be used. Prices are on average 10-30% discounted compared to market prices.
