Shinhan Bank Donates 250 Million KRW to Vietnamese Government for COVID-19 Relief Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Shinhan Bank announced on the 31st that Shinhan Vietnam Bank donated 5 billion VND (approximately 250 million KRW) to the Vietnamese government to support the "National Campaign to Overcome COVID-19" currently underway in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese government has been implementing a campaign since the 17th that involves not only government agencies and companies but also all citizens to overcome the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
A Shinhan Bank official stated, "Shinhan Bank continuously strives to be a bank that supports the success and development of countries and regions both domestically and overseas, and is trusted and loved by customers and society," adding, "We hope that this donation will further strengthen the relationship between Korea and Vietnam."

Meanwhile, Shinhan Vietnam Bank purchased 7,000 watermelons (16.5 tons) to support fruit farmers affected by COVID-19 and delivered relief supplies such as masks and protective suits to soldiers and medical staff managing COVID-19 quarantine facilities. The bank is also continuously working to support domestic companies and Korean residents by providing daily necessities to Koreans quarantined after entering Vietnam and offering financial support services related to COVID-19 for Korean companies.
