Gwangju Dong-gu Selected for Regional Industry Customized Job Contest for 4 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 31st that it has secured 200 million won in project funds after being selected for the 2020 regional customized job support contest and will actively promote job creation policies for local small business owners and youth.
The "Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project" is a contest project where local governments propose job projects tailored to the characteristics of each region and industry for job creation and human resource development, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor selects appropriate projects and supports project funds.
First, Dong-gu secured 100 million won in project funds in the "Core Industry +@ Support Project" field and plans to strengthen the capabilities of small business owners and youth enterprises through dedicated mentoring and counseling utilizing the accumulated data of the Dong-gu Startup Support Center, which is directly operated by the local government for the first time, and professional personnel in ▲startup and management ▲tax ▲finance ▲food service ▲cultural content.
Also, securing 100 million won in project funds in the "Webtoon Production Workforce Training Project" field, Dong-gu is collaborating with Dongkang University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation to foster the cultural content industry, a future high value-added industry, and accelerate youth job creation.
