Taxi Driver Sets Person on Fire After Dispute and Flees Scene
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] At around 1:30 a.m. on the 29th, a fire suspected to be arson broke out at the Korea Taxi Cooperative located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and was extinguished within 15 minutes.
According to the fire authorities, Mr. A, a director of the cooperative who was inside the dispatch office, suffered burns from the fire and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The police, after investigating witnesses, suspect that taxi driver Mr. B, who had ongoing conflicts with Mr. A over cooperative management issues, sprayed a flammable substance on Mr. A and then set it on fire.
