Emart24's Wine Curation 'Wine of the Month' Sales Surpass 20,000 Bottles
Reduced burden with up to 40% discount
Enjoy wine easily at home
Wines sold for 9,900 won in April too
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Emart24's wine curation service launched for the first time this year, ‘Wine of the Month,’ is gaining positive responses from customers.
Emart24 announced on the 29th that more than 20,000 bottles of wine selected for ‘Wine of the Month’ from January to March this year have been sold.
‘Wine of the Month’ is a marketing campaign where Emart24 buyers select wines suitable for the month and sell them at a discount of over 40%. By selecting a variety of wines that are hard to find in convenience stores and offering them at discounted prices, the company aims to provide differentiated value to customers.
In April, as outdoor activities decrease, the number of customers enjoying light ‘homsul’ (home + alcohol) is increasing, so Emart24 selected the red wine ‘Nine Lives Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon,’ which pairs well with various foods.
Nine Lives, made by Chile’s San Pedro Winery, famous for its ‘1865’ wine, is a premium reserve-grade wine made by selecting only grapes of excellent quality. It won the grand prize in the ‘New World Red Wine under 30,000 KRW’ category at the 2019 Korea Liquor Awards. Emart24 will sell Nine Lives, normally priced at 18,000 KRW, for 9,900 KRW throughout April.
Emart24 wine buyer Son Areum said, “We selected Nine Lives as the wine of April with the hope of sharing luck in difficult situations, just like the origin of the Nine Lives name,” and added, “We planned ‘Wine of the Month’ to let customers know that Emart24 offers many attractive wines from various countries, grape varieties, and styles while reducing their burden, which has actually led to positive customer responses.”
