Gangnam-gu Hosts Online Direct Market to Support Farmers Affected by COVID-19
March 30-April 3 Phone Reception at District Office Regional Economy Division and 22 Community Service Centers ... Participation from 17 Local Governments Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will hold an 'Online Direct Transaction Market' from March 30 to April 3 to help farms struggling due to COVID-19.
To participate in 'social distancing,' this market will be conducted via phone orders and will include 17 local governments, including Gangnam-gu's sister cities such as Gwangju, Gunsan, and Chuncheon, as well as seven cities heavily affected by COVID-19, including Daegu Dong-gu, the Gyeongbuk region, and Seosan in Chungnam.
At the market, customers can purchase 17 local specialty products and agricultural and livestock products, such as Chuncheon Dakgalbi, Seosan garlic, Cheongsong apples, and Gyeongju tomatoes, at prices 10-50% lower than the market price.
Those wishing to purchase can refer to the product list in the leaflet available on the Gangnam-gu Office website and at 22 community service centers, then place orders by phone with the Gangnam-gu Regional Economy Division or the relevant community service center.
After placing an order, payment is made via bank transfer, and the producer will directly ship the products to the buyer's address.
