The grocery store discarded food worth approximately 40 million KRW due to concerns about infection.
On the 26th (local time), according to local media such as CNN and The Washington Post, a woman identified only as A was seen intentionally coughing while walking around a grocery store in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania.
The grocery store owner stated, "We believe Ms. A was playing a malicious prank." However, due to concerns about infection and contamination, all the affected food was discarded and the store was thoroughly disinfected.
According to the grocery store, the discarded products were valued at about $35,000 (approximately 42.37 million KRW).
Ms. A was arrested by police who responded to the report.
