BioGenetics "Increasing Demand for Latex Gloves... Will Increase Supply"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] BioGenetics announced on the 27th that it plans to increase the supply of latex gloves, the demand for which has surged due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The company stated, "In Malaysia, which produces more than 70% of the world's latex gloves, factory operations were halted due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19. Consequently, the Malaysian government has imposed a condition since the 18th that only half of the factories may operate to prevent further spread of the virus. With a global shortage of supply expected, BioGenetics is currently securing several months' worth of inventory but plans to further increase supply to ensure there are no delays in delivering to essential places such as medical sites."
