Police Send Singer Kim Gun-mo to Prosecutors with Opinion for Indictment on Sexual Assault Charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The police have completed their investigation into singer Kim Gun-mo's (52) sexual assault allegations and have forwarded the case to the prosecution.
On the 25th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent Kim to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment on charges of sexual assault.
Complainant A claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Kim at a bar in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in August 2016, and filed a complaint with the prosecution last December. The police, who took over the case, conducted an investigation for three months, including summoning Kim for questioning on the 15th of last month.

Kang Yong-seok, the legal representative of A, raised allegations through his YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' that Kim sexually assaulted A, who had worked at a room salon in the past. Kim's agency, Geoneum Planning, filed a countersuit against A for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
