KEPCO and Power Group Companies Return 120% of Executives' Monthly Salaries

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and its power group companies have decided to return part of their salaries to overcome the crisis caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to support those affected.
The president and executives will return 120% of their monthly salary. This will be done by returning 10% each month for one year. Department and division heads will return 36% of their monthly salary, paying 3% each month for one year.
The participating group companies include KEPCO, Korea South-East Power, Korea Midland Power, Korea Western Power, Korea Southern Power, Korea East-West Power, KEPCO Engineering & Construction, KEPCO KPS, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel, and KEPCO KDN, totaling 10 companies.
The returned salaries will be used as funds to support those struggling due to COVID-19.
In addition, KEPCO is conducting a company-wide 'Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign,' including Blood Donation Days and blood donation certificate donation events, to alleviate the blood supply shortage. So far, over 300 people have participated in blood donations.
KEPCO supports social economy organizations and volunteer groups involved in producing handmade masks through the 'KEPCO Love Fund,' which is raised by voluntary donations from employees.
They plan to provide 100,000 sets of cotton masks to vulnerable groups such as the elderly who have difficulty securing masks.
