View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-koo Foundation announced on the 25th that it will hold the ‘2020 OnDream Cultural Arts Talent Scholarship Audition’ to nurture future talents in the cultural and arts sector.
The audition fields include three categories: classical (piano, vocal, strings, wind instruments), Korean traditional music (vocal, traditional instruments), and dance (ballet, modern dance). Selections will be made separately for university students (undergraduates) and middle/high school students. Eligibility includes university students in their 1st to 3rd year, and middle/high school students who attend arts middle/high schools or general middle/high schools in their 1st or 2nd year. Homeschooling students under the age of 17 are also eligible to apply.
Selected scholarship recipients will receive full tuition coverage until graduation and a learning support allowance each semester. Additionally, support will be provided for expenses when participating in domestic and international competitions, living expenses when advancing to prestigious overseas universities or arts organizations, and awards for winning domestic and international competitions. Classical major scholarship students can also participate in ‘OnDream Ensemble’ activities, which include guidance from renowned professors, performance experience on large stages such as the Seoul Arts Center, and participation in charity concerts.
Submission of application documents and preliminary audition videos is open from today until the 17th of next month. Practical auditions will be held from May 11 to 14 for the first-round successful candidates, and the final successful candidates will be selected in June.
