[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] LG Chem's labor and management have jointly stepped up to support the recovery efforts in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, which are struggling due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
On the 24th, LG Chem announced that labor and management representatives attended together to deliver a donation of 100 million KRW, collected through the voluntary participation of employees, to the Community Chest of Korea.
This donation will be used to purchase and provide hygiene products, food supplies, and other necessities needed by medical staff managing COVID-19 infections in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, through local small business owners.
To support the residents of Daegu and Gyeongbuk, LG Chem conducted a joint labor-management fundraising campaign called "Sharing 10,000 Won," with many employees participating in this meaningful cause.
