Mirae Hanguk Party Appoints 'Visually Impaired Pianist' Candidate Kim Yeji as Spokesperson
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Future Korea Party has appointed candidate Kim Ye-ji, well known as a 'visually impaired pianist,' as the spokesperson for the election campaign committee.
The Future Korea Party Public Relations Office announced on the 24th that candidate Kim has been appointed as the spokesperson for the election campaign committee.
Kim, who was recruited as the first talent for the Future Korea Party on the 11th, was born with retinitis pigmentosa causing visual impairment (total blindness), but she has overcome this and shared her talents. She is a former piano instructor at Sookmyung Women's University, holds a master's and doctoral degree in piano from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and currently serves as an executive committee member of the Uri Dongjak Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities.
