Samsung SDS Wins Italy Defense Mobile Security Project... Accelerates Global Expansion
Additional Contract Secured for Indoor Location Tracking Solution Project with Singapore Public Agency
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Samsung SDS has secured a mobile security project for the Italian Ministry of Defense.
On the 24th, Samsung SDS announced that it will provide its mobile integrated security solution 'EMM' to Italian government agencies.
This solution offers mobile security features necessary for defense and public institutions, including ▲device management and remote control based on user-level security policies ▲blocking access to unsecured networks ▲preventing installation of non-work-related applications.
Previously, since 2015, Samsung SDS has been conducting mobile security projects for the U.S. Department of Defense and its Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, the UK Ministry of Defense, and Singapore public institutions.
Last month, the EMM solution also obtained the latest Common Criteria (CC) certification from the U.S. National Security Agency's (NSA) National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). The CC certification is a mandatory certification system for the adoption of information security products by public institutions.
Meanwhile, Samsung SDS recently additionally secured an indoor location tracking solution project for Singapore public institutions by integrating the highly secure Brightics Internet of Things (IoT) platform with the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain. This solution applies Samsung SDS's latest IoT technology to track visitors' real-time locations within buildings and restrict access to secure areas, thereby preventing security incidents such as information leakage.
