Pungsan Denies Reports of Jack Nicklaus GC Acquisition Plans
Pungsan has stated that the media reports about its alleged plan to acquire Jack Nicklaus Golf Club (GC) Korea are unfounded.
On May 14, Pungsan clarified through an official disclosure that "the content of the report about the pursuit of the Jack Nicklaus GC acquisition is not true." The company further explained, "We are not considering this acquisition."
One media outlet reported that Pungsan Group had selected a financial advisor for the acquisition of Jack Nicklaus GC and had begun reviewing the deal structure and price. Jack Nicklaus GC is an 18-hole membership golf course in Songdo, Incheon, which opened in 2010 and is known to have been directly designed by American golfer Jack Nicklaus.

Since 2022, Jack Nicklaus GC has been owned by POSCO Wide, the real estate management company of the POSCO Group. At that time, the transaction price reportedly exceeded 16 billion won per hole, setting a record as the highest price ever for a golf course transaction in Korea.
