According to Busan City on the afternoon of the 23rd, the additional confirmed cases are a female born in 1958 residing in Saha-gu (Busan case number 106) and a male born in 1958 residing in Saha-gu (Busan case number 107), totaling 2 people.
It was confirmed that on the 18th, they, along with Gyeongju case number 35 and three others, took a car together and went on an outing to Sansuyu Village in Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do. Among them, 4 people were diagnosed with COVID-19.
The city estimates that the infection occurred through close contact inside the car with Gyeongju case number 35, considering that cases 106 and 107 showed no symptoms when they visited Sansuyu Village, while Gyeongju case number 35 had mild symptoms. Cases 106 and 107 have been self-quarantining since the 21st after being notified that Gyeongju case number 35 was confirmed positive for COVID-19.
