COVID-19 Deaths in Daegu: '95 and 82-Year-Old Women' ... Total 115 in Korea (Update)
An additional 25 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were identified in nursing hospitals and medical institutions throughout Daegu. At Daesil Nursing Hospital in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, 4 new confirmed cases were added on the 22nd, bringing the total to 66. On that day, ambulances were lined up in front of Daesil Nursing Hospital to transport patients.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The number of deaths due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea has increased to 115. Deaths are occurring consecutively in Daegu.
According to Daegu City on the 23rd, a 95-year-old woman died at Daegu Catholic Hospital at around 5:17 a.m. that day while receiving treatment, followed by an 82-year-old woman who also passed away at around 6:18 a.m. the same day.
The 95-year-old woman was tested for COVID-19 at the Buk-gu Public Health Center in Daegu on the 3rd and was confirmed positive on the 4th. She was admitted to Daegu Catholic University Hospital on the 14th and received treatment until she died that morning. She had underlying conditions including dementia and hypertension.

The 82-year-old woman had been hospitalized at Daesil Nursing Hospital since December 2018. She was confirmed positive during a full inspection of nursing hospitals in Daegu on the 18th and was transferred to Daegu Medical Center on the 22nd for treatment, where she died that morning. Her underlying conditions included dementia, stomach cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and myocardial infarction.
