One More Case on the 22nd (Female in Her 20s, Resident of Yeokchon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu), Family of Confirmed Patient (#8709)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that one additional COVID-19 confirmed case occurred on the 22nd.
The confirmed case, Ms. ○○○ (resident of Yeokchon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, female, in her 20s), is a family member of a local confirmed case (#8709). She had been under self-quarantine at home since March 20th and visited the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 22nd for testing. She was finally confirmed positive around 6:30 PM on the 22nd.
The confirmed patient has currently been transferred to Seonam Hospital, a nationally designated isolation hospital bed.
Disinfection of the confirmed patient's residence and surrounding areas has been completed. Additional information confirmed through epidemiological investigation will be disclosed on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website.

Mayor Kim Mi-kyung of Eunpyeong-gu stated, “Although the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases is decreasing and the situation is calming, it is not yet safe to be complacent. We ask all residents to actively participate in the ‘social distancing campaign’ to prevent further spread.” She also urged, “Please refrain from traveling abroad to areas with a high risk of infection, and if overseas travel is unavoidable, please refrain from going out for two weeks after returning and minimize contact even among family members.”
