[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Two additional deaths due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported in Daegu. These are the 112th and 113th COVID-19 related deaths in South Korea.
According to Daegu City on the 23rd, a 67-year-old man died at 5:21 PM on the 22nd while receiving treatment at Daegu Fatima Hospital, followed by an 86-year-old woman who died at 6:02 PM the same day at Daegu Dongsan Hospital.
The 67-year-old male patient was tested for COVID-19 at Fatima Hospital on the 27th of last month and was confirmed positive on the 28th. He had been receiving treatment continuously until his death the previous day. He suffered from hypertension and stroke.

The 86-year-old woman had been hospitalized and treated at Hansarang Nursing Hospital. She initially had a fever on the 5th of this month but was not tested for COVID-19 at that time. After being tested on the 17th and confirmed positive, she was transferred to Daegu Dongsan Hospital on the 19th and died the previous day. She had underlying conditions including renal failure, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
