India Shutdown... Samsung and LG Electronics Face Inevitable Disruptions in Home Appliance and Smartphone Production
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics' factories in India have halted operations in accordance with government guidelines to respond to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 23rd, Samsung Electronics stated, "Following the state government's guidelines in India, the Noida factory will suspend operations until the 25th," adding, "Unless there are separate instructions, the factory will resume operations from the 26th."
LG Electronics also plans to suspend its production units located in Noida and Pune until the end of March.
