Providing Labor Law Consultation to Prevent COVID-19 Related Labor Disputes... Leaflets Created and Distributed Containing Frequently Asked Questions to Prevent Labor Rights Violations... Psychological Counseling Offered to Address Psychological Difficulties Caused by Infectious Diseases
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) is providing labor legal counseling and psychological counseling to support workers and small business owners who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, as COVID-19 infections have spread, workplace closures, leaves of absence, and vacations due to infectious diseases have increased. Workers and small business owners, who are relatively vulnerable to labor law issues, often face significant difficulties because it is hard for them to obtain accurate information.
Accordingly, the Gangdong-gu Labor Rights Center is actively offering labor legal counseling to prevent unfair labor rights violations and provide information on rights protection.
First, starting from the 23rd, a guidebook (leaflet) containing Q&A on frequently asked labor law issues will be produced and distributed to resolve on-site questions.
The guidebook can be obtained at the Gangdong-gu Labor Rights Center located at Cheonho Station or at nearby community service centers.
Additionally, psychological counseling will be provided for workers who may experience psychological difficulties at work due to the spread of infectious diseases. If there are difficulties such as anxiety about face-to-face work, stress from unexpected income reduction, or increased fatigue due to workload, psychological counseling is available.
Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, stated, “Many unexpected events are happening due to COVID-19. We will strive to be a reliable support so that workers and small business owners facing difficulties do not have to endure them alone.”
