Accordingly, the United States has become the fourth country in the world with the highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, following China, Italy, and Spain.
Local governments in the U.S. are announcing emergency measures such as issuing stay-at-home orders to the public.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy issued a "stay-at-home" order across the entire state on the same day. As a result, all gatherings are prohibited, and all non-essential retail stores must close. Essential retail stores include grocery stores, pharmacies, medical supply stores, gas stations, convenience stores, banks, laundromats, and liquor stores.
