Gwangju Citizens Say "Please Use Them Well" Leaving 34 Masks at Police Station
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] An anonymous citizen of Gwangju left dust masks at a police station, saying "Please use them for a good cause," bringing warmth to the community weary from COVID-19.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency on the 20th, at around 9:44 a.m., a man estimated to be in his 40s or 50s called the Usan Police Substation in Buk-gu, Gwangju.
The man told the police, "I left a shopping bag. Please use it for a good cause," and then hung up.
In front of the substation, there was a shopping bag containing 34 KF94 dust masks along with a note.
The note read, "Although it is only a few, please share them with those who do not have any. We sincerely thank the police officers who work hard for our safety. Keep up the good work."
